About this event

For the first in the Spring Artist Presentation series, Caleb Willitz will be performing a set of sound, song, conversation, and visual art.

Caleb Willitz is an artist and producer working across music, sound, and visual art. His work spans a wide range, from experimental jazz recordings and collaborative projects with renowned musicians, to his own original music, visual art, and curation. Willitz is also a dedicated educator, currently teaching at Wolcott College Prep. He has received numerous grants and awards, including from the DCASE, and most recently from the Illinois Arts Council for the production of the book “work”, a collection of his paintings. His work is driven by a commitment to artistic exploration and a deep engagement with the Chicago music community, most notably as the co-founder and curator of the Midnight Tea event series and recording studio in the Fine Arts Building in the Loop --- The first season of the AIRMW Artist Presentation Series highlights our in-house and close collaborative artists. Each will be presenting their artistic practices with a performative element followed by a discussion moderated by AIRMW Executive and Artistic Director, Tatsu Aoki. Curated & organized by Kioto Aoki. Full Spring Schedule
